after buying this series 2a with no engine from the bay, with the intention of breaking it for parts for another project

i decided yesterday that i couldn't break her,

now named "Borte"

I've got a 2.5 n/a to fit after a strip and re-build….. :D

Well done mate, looks an interesting truck. Do you know the history?

got quite a bit of literature with it, but initially i only wanted it for spares ….. going to start doing a bit of digging though :D

ex army, but has a civilian rear crossmember, pretty much intact apart from the missing engine

rough as a robbers dog, but oozes character :D

That's just so cute! I'd just mend it and drive it like that! :)

thats the plan, strip it, sort the chassis… then galv it, then same with the bulkhead…… the put all the panels back in original state ……

a proper "reserved, and unassuming" motor :5bdriving:

Excellent plan, I take my hat off to you sir, enough over-restored LR's about already ;)

Looks good :) 2.5 N/A goes well in a series ;) Not fast but then they werent designed for speed anyway :D Will go forever though :)

I'll have your parabolics off next weekend if you want to come collect and see the S1 ;) the S2 grille has also been repaired so I'll give it a quick spray of paint for you. You can have any colour........as long as its black

Could meet somewhere if you wanted though, I did take a quick vid of the S1 today before I start on its new exhaust :D

The green one I chopped up for my 35" tyres and rear radiator

My mate does have a brand new series rear tub skin for the drivers side though, if you can find a passenger side one you're laughing ;)
