Ok, another job to add to my woes :-/

Opened the rear door to get my tools out y'day and noticed the top of my tool box was wet ? Looked up and there were two wet patches on the roof lining at opposite sides. The disco is currently on front axles tilted at about 25 degrees.

I'm guessing its the rear sunroof seals, but they look ok to me, unless there is something else that I've missed ?

P.s we had heavy rain the day before.

Lots of places D2 leak, sunroof seal , between the sunroof panel and the roof, roof rails, and the front corners of the gutter / windscreen seal.

I'm guessing your trouble may be the second one, need roof lining out sun roof housing out, sealed with sealant put back together, while you have it stripped do both sunroofs and roof rails as easy while the roof lining is out.

Sorry yes tail gate. The patches are directly where the head rests fold up(7 seater)

Taking the headlining out seems a bit of a chore but compared to dismantling front ACE and rocker cover gaskets it maybe easier lol

It's a real shame that the reputation of this manufacturer and it's products were destroyed by such poor quality control! Both my Disco 2's have suffered interior water leaks which are still ongoing and it makes me so angry that these problems(and the other known faults)weren't addressed during the entire 7 yrs of production! Shameful!

I'd agree, such a great pedigree shamed by pitfalls of "drab" workmanship, systemic of the early days of "the unions" lol
