Does any one know how to update the maps on 2014 freelander 2 metropolis without it costing a fortune, any help much appreciated. My map updates are on a memory stick. I should of said this when I posted this feed yesterday.

Read the feed back for the above link, i think it may only be up to 2013 therefore from 06-13 also ( "Caveat" ) as they are copies.

Thanks for your reply. My cars maps are on a memory stick. Land rover are charging £169.00 for the updates.

Try these internet sellers;
LAND ROVER GEN2 1 SAT NAV MAP 2020-2021 UPDATE USB NAVIGATION EUROPE (satnavishop.co.uk)

I thought that LR had stopped supporting this model - the pre-face lift updates (on DVD discs) are not LR but a different car manufacturer which the software people adjust to work - LR have not sanctioned an update for these for about 6 years.

I purchased an update stick and code from ebay for another freelander 2 that I had 2 years ago and it worked OK. The price has gone up and i just wondered if somebody else had a cheaper version. I am a retired gent and I am trying to keep the price down. I meant to say thanks for the reply`s. I have just looked at the update on ebay and it is now £100.00 which is a bit expensive for my pocket. I will have to keep on looking. Thanks again Mick.

Never bothered with the map update for my metropolis. The maps are stored on a hard drive in the boot on MY13 onwards FL2's. If your maps are on a memory stick, do you access them to perform the update via the usb ipod connection?

I use the USB ipod connection in the centre console and had no problems the last time I did it.

All of the internet sellers of the USB based map upgrades sell them for about the same price - ca £90, LR sell them for about double this.

I have stopped looking for an update and will use my phone. If anything comes along in the meantime I will look into it. Thanks for all your replies, Mick.
