I have a 2000 (P38) Vogue fitted with a CARiN II Sat Nav.

Does anyone know where I could geta more up to date disc - the current one is a 2007 (downloads?) or even if there are any others discs that would work, as I keep finding references for VDO and NAVTEQ

Thanks:confused:

You might get one from Ebay but the last one I got from there promised me it would work with post codes but never did. Navteq are the only ones I think that do them officially but they're around £90 or so. I've never seen a download yet.

I bought an updated CD from Navteq last year for about £90 inc postage. Just looked on the site today and they are £99 this year. Pre-model Year '05 - Range Rover
Looks like you have to pay up for new maps as I did. I may update next year, but for now the disc I have is ok.

I recently came across what appears to be an issue with postcode input. I had a 2006-7 disc which supported postcode input but this became damaged. I got a navteq 2009-10 disc of ebay and this doesn't do postcode input at all ... there are POI's but no postcodes.

I think I noticed elsewhere that NAVTEQ have dropped the data because of cost ... though that doesn't stop them charging £99 before discount.

I have actually been using the new maps disc BUT not having postcode (even to 4 characters which was the best my system has had on the 2006 vintage) is a pain.

I think we have to live with the fact that Navteq see this as an unnecessary feature.
