Hi Guys

Just got a sankey from flea-bay for conversion to an expedition trailer. What im looking for is info on the hook on the trailer. Can anyone tell me the thickness of the towing ring. I have a ball and pin hitch but someone told me that it may not fit the hitch. Its a narrow track sankey if that would make any difference to the thickness.
Thanks for any help.

Should say i have'nt picked it up yet.

Not sure but a quick search on eBay should bring up a few nato hitches, I've seen them for up under 20quid...

The ring metal on our Sankey is 1.6" thick. It wouldn't fit on my ball and pin, so the guy we bought it off gave us a Nato Hitch. That's definately the way to go as it's a lot easier to clip on to a Nato Hitch than a ball and pin.

Adjustable drop plate, with a spare plate with the NATO hitch on the second, swap over when needed.

Yep That's what I did with the 90, eggcept I used the nato hitch for recovery work when laning. and the ball & Pin for towing "normal" trailers and me pikeywagon

Still got the drop plate and nato hitch in RobinT's Garage.


Oh and NO ya can't fit a Sankey trailer onto a "normal ball and pin hitch"
