hi, i have a sankey narrow track trailer on a nato hitch but there is no breakaway cable/chain does anyone know or have a diagram about this thanks john

cheers that does'nt really help i'm just trying to use my trailer legally so it brakes if it leaves the tow hitch

is there a braket for the cable on the hand brake?

no theres not i think i'll try and weld one on to the bottom where the handbrake pivots thanks for replying j

that'll be where a breakaway cable would attach.

sankeys dont have one ..... construction and use regs mean it doesnt need one as not originally fitted, I have a heavy duty SWR loop thyat i padlock through the chassis rear hole and trailer a frame though to be slightly safer

although to be honest how will it ever leave a properly pinned nato hitch... its not a tow ball where wear is an issue
