Any recommendations on places that may be interested in my 2003 non-running Freelander TD4?

I had posted before and upon a recommendation have tried Bradgate Motors and Motorohog. Best offer was for £125 - the garage the car is sat at have someone who'll take it for £150.

Is that the best I can hope for? The car isn't running, the head was removed to check an issue which involves work on a cylinder and a potential turbo issue too - causing overheating.
It's had a number of new parts recently; low and high pressure fuel pumps, an injector, new clutch, etc. but most seem to be interested in it running first.

If that's the best I can hope, for someone that isn't too mechanically minded, what am I best stripping from the car?

Thanks

Stick it on ebay, you should get more for it on there.

Cheers, the garage did suggest that as an option - auction with reserve or buy it now with what sort of price. Want it to be a quick sale but don't want to end up worse off than the £150 once final price and fees are factored.

See what other spares or repairs are going for, just type that in the search box, including the make and model.

My take ... I'd grab the £150 now. Scrap isn't getting good prices. I took a trailer full last week, about 1/2 ton, and got £9. A non-runner is effectively scrap, no matter what you've just had fitted ....

I'd guess that you'd need to be lucky to get more, even on ebay, and that you'd just be prolonging the agony!

Hope you get lucky if you go that way, mind .. ;)

Thanks had a look at what "spares or repairs" TD4's have sold for on eBay - up to about £300/£400 but that's for a runner with clutch or other less costly issues to resolve.
Mine effectively doesn't have a working engine so only vaguely similar non-runner finished around £120 so I guess £150 now is best rather than, as said, prolonging this with an auction :(
I'm off to empty the car later and pull off what parts I can - any suggestions on what may be useful to take off for a novice as far as car mechanics?

Dunno anything much about Freelanders, but, If they're new, easy to get to and you might think of a 'project' vehicle to fit 'em to, I'd remove the fuel pumps maybe .. they might be useful ..

However, someone 'taking it' for £150 might be miffed if he doesn't get them with it, he'll expect a full car, albeit non-runner!

I'd just remove personal and personalised stuff and have it away.

Says me who still has the body and chassis of my old, drowned 300 Disco in the back yard ..... ;)

Ha thanks. Well the breaker was expecting all the bits even though a non-runner. I salvaged my personal stuff, the Synergy and the Pierburg MAF from an engine bay full of engine parts.
Had a look at the cylinder which had the top half melted :(

We demand pics!! :D
I'd left my phone in my car (the missus' one that works). It's off to the breakers tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll get to have a look before it goes. I've a spare key which I might drop in over the weekend with note asking for the melted cylinder as a fond souvenir
