Ok so I desperately needed to move my 90 today as its been sat sorned for a while and its out in the open with the local tee leaf hanging around..

So i got a mate to pop up with his td5 to pull it to his house a mile down the road. Before anyone comments that it shouldn't be on the road I know this already..

So karma bit me on the arse as usual and the rear prop that i had forgotten to bolt up on the handbrake drum dropped off and took a nice piece of the diff with it..

My guess is that the whole thing is dead now.. Or is there by some miracle that there is a replacement part thats not worth more than a second hand drum braked salisbury diff......

I could cry into my tea... Felt i was finally starting to get over all the filler and expanding foam and the truck was coming together, Living with the mother in law has been a ball ache as well as having a mrs thats now 8 month preg lol....

On a positive we had the phone call saying the house we put in for is ours so with bit of luck in 6 weeks my truck can sit and rot on my very own drive lol..
 
Ive put a bid in lol, don't know how I'm gonna get away with fetching that to the mrs lol...
So my current diff is dead then i guess?
 
Casing looks good at first glance. Im gonna leave it a few weeks and then get back on it.

its fixable with another crown wheel and pinion , ive fitted those with axle in situ but pinion and crown wheel and diff carrier need setting ,not so easy without experience
 
If I buy the one with leaf springs would I need to weld some seat mounts on or would the diff part come away from the axle ends
 
if you buy one with leaf springs its most likely to be 4.7 ration and 110 uses 3.54 as standard ,pinion crownwheel and carrier differ
