hi looking at going to salisibury plain this sunday 22nd november, anyone got any tips or advice as im a salisbury plain virgin! also anyone else going on this day?

yu could look at the noo posts or do a search yu'd be surprised what ya can find if yu look :D
 
yeh..what mhm says, dont go on your own, specially at this time of year after all the rain we had.

of course you can still go, but dont adventure anywhere.... you'll get stuck where you least expect
 
I didnt even know it was open to public like that, i live in poole so hardly far for me, id be up for going sometime, but cant get my disco to start at the moment and its standard so i'll probably get stuck.
 
hi adam welcome im a newbie to, from what i understand u can make it as hard or as easy as you like with relitively flat tracks or massive water filled ruts/ditches etc but i could be wrong???your more then welcome to give me a shout when your motors running and we could meet up

It isn't open to the public. But there are Boats and Orpa's that cross the plains that you can drive on legally.

It also very easy to take the wrong lane and end up in deep ****. so make sure you know where ya going. or go with someone else who does.
 
going with another member from ere thats been few times befor mainly for a recky no seriouse stuff or thats what ive said lol. where do you guys get your green lane maps from?

In house joke. :D There's no such thing as a greenlane map. If yu can read am ordnance survey map buy 1 and look for Boats or orpas on the legend. they are greenlanes.

yeah ive got them but couldn't remember the spelling of it!DOH!!!! wondered if there was anywhere to get them cheap?

.....If your asking that kind of question, perhaps the plains ain't somewhere you should be venturing on yer own until you know what your doing a lil' more...... ?

i have ordnance maps but was actually asking if you guys go anywhere imparticular to get cheaper or group discounts on more maps... i see the errors in my ways by saying green lane maps but it was late and the brain wouldn't functiion and couldn't think of how to spell ''ordnance'':doh:
