Almost any weekend is good for me. I have a GPS enabled laptop and 1:50,000 OS maps on the computer. I have a mate that works near the plain and has good info on exactly where and what and where is legal to drive. Apparently the range wardens get a bit fed up with people going off piste so to speak.

Aww pants guys. I'm going to be really hard pushed this weekend. Only just recovered from a virus & have a load of tedious work stuff to catch up with @ the weekend.

Oh, ok, I'll let you go without me (magnanimous, huh? :D ), so long as (if you don't get shot by a tank) we can go again soon afterwards? I'm good for pretty much any other weekend, just been knocked out for a couple of weeks now.

Just got a new recovery rope too. Ideal for towing Chris's disco out! ;) They say pride comes before a fall so probably shot myself square in the foot now!

Going to be way jealous if you go, but keep me posted. Email mentioned elsewhere: marcus@messages.co.uk

Best,
Marcus.

cheeky bugger!
probably true though!
Only road tyres with minor mud and snow ok!
I dont wanna get shot - i like my life! lol

Don't worry, I have heard from others that once you have been on the plain you go back time and time again so there will be plenty of future visits. I'll take lots of pictures. Just one point, there has been a big exercise on this week and it may run into the week-end. I'll call the range office in the morning and check its OK. I dont want my defender in kit form!! I'll update in the morning.

Imber is closed and there is no access until next week-end. Larkhill appears to be open providing the red flags are not flying. What time were you thinking of? I have been given some chores:( that I need to do first thing so a later start for me (11.30) would be better. If no good we can always go next week-end. Let me know what you think.

I have never been before. So i dont know about rules and regs.
Marcus might beable to go next weekend so we could wait till then.
Although I am kind of itching to get up there.
What kind of terrain is it?

The roads are everything from gravel tracks to trenches!! I am good to go this morning from 11.30. Where are you comming from and we can arrange a meet point?
