ok, so 8 hours later and....

safari snorkel is fitted
breathers are extended up to the top of the snorkel
quick trip to screwfix to get a screw extractor cos I sheared off the pushfit elbow in the rear axle. doh!
oil in engine, gearboxes and both axles changed
quick wash to get rid of last sundays mud

so time to get wet and muddy again. happy days :D

anyone got anything planned in the coming weeks?

Think you're ready to get stuck now !

I am possibly doing a trip in 2 weeks time (if I can get my wheel cylinder sorted) will probably be parts of the ridgeway involved in it so not too far from you.

I'll put a post in laning section if/ when I get something sorted.

Did you fully seal the air intake system ? Ie. silicon gel.

nice one, I'll keep checking.

it's a safari snorkel and come as one unit, so just had to connect the snout at the bottom of the snorkel to some flexihose. much easier than messing about trying to seal the snorkel to the wing and the wing to the rubber on the inside.

that said, I've yet to test it...:eek:

I'm up for getting stuck again, will try and winch that log out of the way first.

What log?

i may pass on this one as i have only just got my new auto box in after i burnt the last one out on our day out.

I also need a snorkel before i go submerining anyone got one for sale?

Vince

The trip for this thread has already taken place so it might be an idea to start a new one for a new trip to avoid confusion.
