How much rotation on the drive shaft should a saisbury axle have thanks

How much have you got? An old axle[ rover on salisbury may have a 1/4 turn and still work.

10 degrees at most . I think thats ok but i have no experiance of salisbury,s

That’s sounds a bit more than workshop manual spec of 0.15-0.27mm measured on the crown wheel

Some of the movement can be in the splines, flanges as well as the diff itself.
