That was just an example of the type of pump you need.

I'd actually buy this one https://www.pfjones.co.uk/landrover...bosch-common-rail-diesel-pump-0445010011.html, but remember they are exchange. ;)
No as the pump is made by Bosch, it's a Bosch CP1 high pressure fuel pump. It's specifically designed for common rail fuel injection systems, like that fitted to the TD4.
The pump is silly expensive new, but a decent reconditioned pump is £180, as shown above.
Thanks very much for those links V6!! Really appreciate your help! James

Hi James.
Great to know you got sorted out and you are up and running once again, hopefully you get another good 12 months out of the FL1 if the MOT goes well for you that is.

£1200!!

A decent reconditioned fuel pump costs £180 exchange and no more than 3 hours to fit, in fact I can change the HP pump in under 2 hours.

There won't be anything wrong with the injectors, as the pump can't send rubbish to them.

They're talking out of their asses.:(

I got mine done as it had collapsed inside the tank, £180 for the pump and £45 labour West End Garage, Fort Augustas, they forgot to put the new o ring that seals the pump to the tank and the old one leaked when I overfilled the tank. took it back to them and they fixed it right away with many many humble apologies. To be fair they looked after my my 3 door Freelander and my 2008 320i Coupe for the four years I lived there and that was the only problem I had. Brilliant service and they stay open all hours.
