does any one know the best way to fix a sagging head lining? can you use a spray adhesive?

Yes you can. It can be very tedious to do though.
Remove the cloth liner completly from fibreboard backing.
Clean off any and all foam (if worn out and dusty)
you can clean the fabric at this point. I used the washing machine on a delicate cycle.
When Completly dry start at one end of liner and lay out the fabric onto fibre backing. MAKE SURE it is square when you lay it out. Now when you have the fabric laid out correctly over fibre board backing, take on end and fold it over the other end. spray the glue ( I used carpet adhesive) on to fibre board. Then very carefully lay the cloth back over the board. (using people is best)
once it is position, using a small hard roller (wall paper seam roller) gently press the fabric down.
Repeat procedure for other end and then let dry completely before reattaching to vehicle.
Remember TAKE YOUR TIME.

I gave up trying to glue these after lots of less than successful attempts and now use roof lining coloured plastic rivets, the best ones are the fabric coloured ones Land Rover originally used but these seem difficult to get. If you catch the headlining relatively early (ie before the front of the car is sagging) most of the rivets are never seen by occupants. the whole thing looks discreet anyway to be honest. We have done a number like this. Just punch a hole in the headlining with a scredriver or similar and insert the rivet and press home.
Much easier than complete removal and reglue, but obviously potentially (assuming you can get the glue to work) not as cosmeticaly good.

YOURSKULLZUP's got a good point. If you're going to take the whole thing out anyway it's got to be worth contacting a couple of breakers to see if you could just replace it. Same amount of work in the car, guaranteed long term result and done in one day.
Then, if you want to repair yours, and you're successful, see if you could sell it on.

ive still got to replace my headlining as its sagging and the actual board the cloth sticks to has sagged, i really wouldnt advise getting one from a breakers, it could start sagging soon after fitting it. you can contact woolies for the material and make sure that when it comes to glueing it the board has to have ZERO amount of the old glue on there. Oh and make sure that you get the high temp glue.

I'm going to try and tackle the sunroof shade soon, as the fabric has parted comapny with the board completely, has anyone removed this without taking down the headlining?

If you are going to make the attempt with spray adhesive make sure you use one that is suitable for high temperature environments. I used the procedure mention by Khryztal in the second post but the whole lot was lying on the seats when I returned to car after having left it parked in the sun.
