At an autojumble I bought a bargain safari snorkel little used for my 96 300tdi. On getting it home I realise it is actually the kit for a V8. If I change the hose can I still use the snorkel itself or do I need to sell the whole kit and start again? Buyer beware and all that but grateful for advice.

I would have thought it would be ok, its only to transfer the air into the air box . Pipe length are the only difference but im no expect

Also depends if you have a abs model or non abs

Thanks mate. Non ABS so does just look like hose length…

Also you might want to consider the bracket that you will need to fit to the new air box as it might be a different shape from the v8 model
