Hello all!

I've got a Safari Snorkel for sale for the 300tdi/V8 Discovery with ABS.

It comes attached to a wing (white in colour and in good condtion) so you could simply switch wings to save drilling and damaging yours.

Also comes with the template and fitting instructions.

Also comes with the modified airbox so is really easy to fit.

You'll just have to drill the hole in the inner wing.

Grille at top of intake has slight damage but these are cheap enough to replace on ebay.

I'm based in Southampton.

Retail at £269.

I'm looking for £150.

PM if you are interested.

Cheers,

Colin.

Hi,

I'm really sorry but I've just been outside to get the snorkel ready for wrapping and the wind has caught it and blown it down the garden which has broken the top clean off. I can't believe it, it's now useless. I will have to cancel the transaction now.

Really sorry for the muck up, can't believe that it would break like that, I thought they were a lot stronger than that. :(

Just to let you know, the snorkel DID get damaged last night and I felt it wouldn't be right to send it off to you in that condition so I cancelled the transaction.

I sold it to a friend of mine in the trade who is going to have it repaired.

I chucked in the steering guard and a couple of other bits as the snorkel was damaged.

Why is everybody so negative on this site?

Just my opinion but you stated it was "I can't believe it, it's now useless", followed by I sold it to a friend of mine in the trade who is going to have it repaired."

So the right thing to do would have been to ask the original buyer if they wanted the same deal as your mate and given them the choice if they still wanted it or not. They may have still wanted it damaged and could have repaired it themselves. So if it was genuinely damaged you handled it poorly....IMO

Ive seen snorkel smack trees and survive.so think we all had a lucky escape.

Glad you made 125 quid on it pal.

Think you were out to get as much as you could get and when you didnt you fobbed him off and sold it to some one offering you more

No, I sold snorkel, steering guard, dog guard and boot mat for £125. Definitely not out to get as much as possible. Snorkel needed plastic welding. Sold to a friend who lives locally rather than sending by post to an eBay buyer and then have the hassle of a possible return etc....

Also just discovered it had been repaired before in the same spot which would explain why it broke so easily.
