I have parabolics on my 88 Driver side is approx half an inch lower. At first thought weak shocker but changed them. Is there truth in that LR used to have a different spring on driver side to compensate? Would rather not have to replace spring of possible. Is there any way of adding packers to spring to compensate?

That correct...with the old style multi leaf the driver side rode higher.
Shocks do nothing for ride height....So I suppose you could swap yours around...be more or less level with just you in it.

Nick.

Thanks for info Nick that makes sense. I might just fit a new spring to driver side same difference. Martin.

Far as I know paras dont get marked for drivers side....but it will do no harm.

Seem to remember mine where the same when I fitted them many years ago.

Any idea what brand yours are...did you fit them Martin?

They were on it when I bought it. A quick look on fleabay I found British made paras which are handed. Possibly mine's are on wrong or tired.

Have you tried loosing the shackle bolts to see if they are just locked down.
Have parabolics on my series took a very heavy load over a off road track rear settled low it was not till I replaced the chassis and refitted them that I realised the bushes had jammed them in a low position . Seven years later springs still on and working fine.
