Morning all, it looks like I need to replace one of my dumb irons, does anyone who's had it done know roughly how much I'm looking at to get it done.

Craddocks or Paddocks for sparepart. If you’re hoping to get a garage to do the work add another £5K for ****ing about labour. Maybe cheaper.

I'm not sure on just a dumb iron but I had a rear cross member done for about £450 6 years ago, I don't think that included parts.

If you have the parts, your best bet is likely to be a mobile welder rather than giving it to a garage. They tend to be used to working on site, farm work, etc, and are priced far more reasonably than giving it to a garage which will make a fuss about working on a vehicle they need to actively repair rather than just swap out shiny plastic parts on.

Seconded, I prerer to use mobile welders or fabircators, they are better at welding. The absolute key is getting in on in the right place so the ride hight and steering are correct. Better to set it up at home - you can weld prep it, meansure and check it, then once its in the right postion get the guy to weld it. You can use blocks and a laser level.
