think you can do or its suggested, iirc that is to remove any loose unbonded bits and excess, I usually just let it dry for a few days - i.e. till I can be bothered to do the next bit - spray with dinitrol black and forget
iirc you can leave it for up to a year before covering, if I was going to paint I would rinse it off etc but I have only needed to do underneaths so far

When you rinse it off the water runs dark purple/black for quite some time while the dust is washing off.
I can't remember exactly, but it does say you can wait months before painting over it.

Ordered a litre of it, will wiz over the parts with wire brush drill head then slap this bad boy on and see what occurs!
It's a lot better than vinegar
Let us know how you get on. Before n after pictures would be good
