£350 ****in quid fer a wash and a wax
£4 at tesco ! clean it up as best yer can, all the loose **** out , wax oil yer self with a gun, then under seal , the lot wont cost more than £25
but dont eat it !

£350 for spraying wax in your chassis - don't be silly. I picked up an unfinished SIII project with a new chassis for £350. You could buy a new compressor for £120 and some waxoil for a few quid more and do it yourself. That compressor would come in handy for all sorts of things later too.
If your bottom is really tight then the waxoyl can be mixed with old engine oil (definate no to frying bacon). It works just as well. Waxoyl is only slack wax (which at one time was a fairly useless by product of oil refining) taken up in a solvent. However it does the job provided all of teh loose flaky rust is removed. Black is teh best as it hides a multitude of sins! Best to fill up the box sections on a very hot day in a supermarket carpark (that saves your driveway) especially if there is a bank which you can drive up and down so it slops all over the internals!. Not sure what happens when some one dives over your mess in the rain however.
