l noticed this Land Rover while out on my bike yesterday.
Speaking to the nearest property owner it's been in the field for at least ten years.

Condition wise it's probably had it, plus the windows are open, nobody seems to know who owns it, l'll try the local farmer.

Series 3. Doesn't look in very good nick. Has a roll bar, somebody may have been using it for RTV trials at one time.

Why did you put it in the Defender section?

Never thought.

l'll post it in the Series 3 section, but will go back and see if it's got number plates as well.

There is a farm not far from me where there are a number of land rovers including S3, Defender and forward control. Probably all too far gone..

That’s a cool looking landy lightening, Shame it’s been left like that, number plate be worth a few quid

Passed its last MOT, looks like it's been there 16 years
l know it's been there over a decade as l've seen it through the trees in the past when l've been that way, but never taken a closer look.

I’m sure it could make a project, it would just need lots replacing! The panels look straight. Drag it out, a pressure wash and see how it is underneath… :)

l am going to see if l can find the owner, it's only a mile from my house down a country lane so l would get away with towing it home if the brakes work.

An update

Well, someone has eyes on this old truck. When l went to look at it l obviously left signs in the long grass.

Now, there's a vehicle parked across/behind the access gate to the field.

lt looks like someone thinks it might get lifted. I doubt even the Rippers would be interested in this one though.

Leave a note on the vehicle with your contact details. If someone has been there to block it in, chances are they’ll be back more often to keep an eye on it.

lf l can get it then yes, l will give it a go.
Great plan. Real Land Rover, then you can flog the Defective before the prices tank! :D

You might be surprised how little is wrong with that, I have seen those, and we had them running the same day. Series are pretty hard.

The only problem I can see is that the current owner may know this too, and just be waiting for time to do it him/her self.
