If you are in the area, the Cavalcade is this weekend and worth a visit.

We are there with our two Ruston Hornsby engines and the 6-wheel trailer.

Located just south of Rushden on the A6, entrance in Avenue Road, NN10 0SN, parking is free, admission varies. The parking field is a short walk from the show site. Ground conditions are good. Weather forecast dry with sunny periods.

So where are the pics?

Pretty good weekend at the Rushden Cavalcade, weather could have been warmer and the heavy Sunday night rain probably put people off. The ground stayed firm and no mud!

Only 32 engines in the programme, but a huge selection of cars and military stuff.

Len Gillings had a nice little Matthews Engineering genset, but the buzz coil failed on the Saturday, so Len went home that evening. It was previously owned by Anton van der Cruijsen, a stationary engine forum member.

Our two were amongst the largest engines there, mostly smaller stuff but a hopper-cooled Lister L was at the higher HP end and a 4(?)AP hopper cooled was nice as well.
