Hi all

Slight problem with my '92 RRC Vogue SE running on petrol only (it doesn't have an LPG conversion). After a few miles of 'pootling' about she runs rich and has a very lumpy tickover. If i give her a bit of welly she kicks out a bit of grey smoke (unburnt hydrocarbons is my guess) for a couple of seconds and runs fine then for about 25 - 30 miles of steady driving and it happens again.
When i do give it some welly she goes like a train with no misfires or pinking. The problem seems worse on steady 'motorway' runs then travelling round the lanes.
It doesn't run hot or use any oil or water and always starts first time.
My thoughts are either MAF (the air filter has been blown through with an air gun, and isn't look that old as the car was serviced about 4,500 miles ago), or that one or two of the plugs are breaking down (not sure of the make as the service was done just before i bought it, but it has Magnecore leads on it so i'd imagine that they were halfway decent).
Has any of you got any other ideas?

On another note, my first MOT in Range Rover ownership is looming, which is one reason why i want to sort out the rich running, is there any special needs? I.e. brake roller tests, etc.
