Well an update, after checking map pipe as advised ,I changed the fuel and air filters this morning. What a difference! So I guess that going back to basics, the way I was taught, is always the starting point.;)

surprising yes, hope you are well.I've been doing a few jobs in the last week's, full of aches and pains, I put it down to unused muscles complaining. :D

Good to hear. Was down in the garage Sat working on lawn tractor, grass is taking over. Needs a new starter bendix so am throwing a ring gear on it as well. Just got to wait for them to arrive then will fit them and some new blades and off we jolly well go. ;):D

Just had to fork out €53 for a new cutter belt on mine:(

Pumped the Old MTD's tyres up for the 17th time this week and mowed the lawn.. ;)

Good to hear her poke has returned, Alan basics first eh?!

Will they not sharpen up? Most mower blades will come up sharper with a flap disc than they come new.

The old ones are bent and dull. I will fit new (sharpened) and remove old ones and see if they can be saved. If so straighten sharpen and balance as spares.

Following your adventure I realised I’ve overlooked the basics and invested in a new filter. Local MF gave it to me £6.30 seems pretty good quality compared to some I’ve seen, presuming it fits - looks same

Yes play it safe.
If your not used to it and snap an old connector, well that’s the sort of thing that happens in my world :D
