HI all,

just wondering where the best place to run a wire from the engine bay to the cab would be any easy access holes?

Cheers

Better explain what you are after cos there might be a solution without running a wire if it's only about one

There is a fairly large grommet already in the bulkhead behind the fusebox but it's not easy to get to. I have used it to thread a couple of wires through, but they were "standard" thickness wires. You might have to invent some other holes for any thicker power feeds though.

What load?(how many amp should it support)... the accessory socket can bear 25A and if you dont tow a caravan the unused live for the S12 Socket behind the rear RH lamp is 30A

Follow the bonnet release cable, push a rigid wire(e.g straightened coat hanger) through the grommet near it into the engine bay, fix the cable to the wire with duct tape and pull it into the cabin...that's the easyest way i found

Don't know what side the battery is on a d2 but yesterday on my 300tdi I ran one from the front drivers side though the accelerator pedal gromet to a fuse box I've put underneath the drivers seat then on to the boot area, I've ran the co-ax amp cables down the passenger side to avoid interference.

Did mine 8 years ago to feed a sub amp under the front passenger seat, and then run the cable below the drivers door underneath the carpet after removing the step tread plate first and then crossing over still under the carpet to the passenger side. Simples
