hi, I'm fitting new hd shocks and springs this weekend to disco 300, just dropped old one out and there is remanants of a rubber packer/spacer on the top of the old spring, can't see the part on paddocks web site (not that I'm fixed on using padddock) anyone know what the parts called and are they allways refitted and what effect does it have, presumably damps vibration or something. Ta.

thanks for prompt reply just found them on tinternet, craddock, will try and pick up a couple locally in the morning, are they only fitted to rear?

busy weekend mot looming and excuse for a few jobs/improvements, rear discs/pads, hd springs shocks, tad of welding rear body mounts tiny patch on sill, hd steering rods, front springs/shocks, both front door lock springs.

to be fair i dont think they are needed. They just reduce vibration being transmitted through the chassis. Dumped mine when i changed up the suspension
