The washers have stopped working.

Rear washer works fine. Neither the front windscreen nor the headlamp washers work.

Checked the fuse, ok.
When you try to use the windscreen washers, the wipers work ok but the pump is dead.
When you switch the headlights on, still nothing but I can hear a relay clicking in the cab.

Help! Were can I look for this fault? The handbook says there are separate motors for all three washers, is this correct?

Thanks.

yep there are 2 or 3 motors depending on model year i believe. Mines a 93' and has 2 pumps one for rear and one for front and headlamps. They are located on the back (ulkhead side) of the washer bottle

On my '87 (low mileage second car) I swapped the pumps over when the front one packed up until I could get a replacement, but the rear unit is only good for the screen not the headlamps. The first replacement was a Britpart that lasted 7 months of little use (summer inc.) followed by a genuine LR unit that never worked at all! Both were replaced under warranty & the third pump, also LR, is still working. I'm all for using genuine stock if you can still get it, but you have to wonder some times exactly where it's produced as the BP & LR (scourced from a main stealer) pumps looked suprisingly similar.

Sorry, never updated this. The windscreen washer motor just started working again, and is still fine. I noted the headlamp washers don't work: I'll have a look at them in the summer.
