HI guys my odometer has stopped working on my RRC hard dash 3.5 efi, every thing else seems to be ok. is there a way to fix this, I have opened it up while attached to the car and it was a pig of a job, there is a clicking when driving, any ideas or is there a company out there that can overhaul,, thanks guys

The head unit does not usually fail it is normally the cable that is either tight or requires some oil dripped down the cable. The clicking would suggest that it is the cable that is stuck. The speedo can also fail to work if the angle drive screws are not tight.

Thanks Locket,, Where are the angle drive screws, and if the cable is working the speedometer then should it not work odemeter as well, my speedo is working fine. Is it a big job to fit new cable? Much appreciated Deano

Has your speedo reached 100,000? If it has they can stop and not go further. I wound mine back with a drill on reverse on slow speed. Obviously this will not correspond with the last mot, that issue is up to you. The screws for the angle drive mount the cable to the back of the speedo, check that they are tight. The cogs inside the speedo head are nylon check that they are not stripped.
