Hi Landyzone,

My rear drivers side bearing is completely goosed and im trying to replace it but cant get the outer bearing out or the hub off?

Looked online and apparently is 1/2 hour job but im struggling! any ideas how to get the thing out? has anyone else had problems? am i missing anything ? following rave and got to the bit....

"Remove hub and brake disc assembly complete with bearings"

do i need any special pullers or what ever ?

How hot did it get in the 'goosed' process?
Reason I ask is that years ago I had a taper roller bearing fail - not on a LR - the heat generated welded the bearing track to the stub axle.
Total bastard to get off, involved much smashing of bearing cage. The race that was stuck to the axle came off after a bead of weld was run round it.

Dont think it did get especially hot, there was never any heat on the alloy or anything on hot smell. Wheel still spins just grumbles really badly.
