seasons greetings to alll.
im fiddling with an efi flapper and on the system i have there is a metal cased relay this comes in the engine bay loom, (it spurs off the section by the afm)
it has a multi plug, which plugs into it and a single white/blue wire, with an insulated male spade connector any idea what this is for and where it connects, in the haynes it show it i think in one of the b/w photos but doesnt say what it does, any ideas

thanks:cool:

its the " overrun fuel shut of relay" according to the haynes manual, just some help now with the blue/white or was it white/blue that comes of it and where does it plug to would be great, its an 1987

thanks again:cool:

having established its the overun relay, just need to find out where the sinlge seperate wire from it goes, pretty sure its the coil neg but if someone with a rrc could confirm this for me that would be great,as i cant trace it throught the haynes wiring diagrams
ps anyone got a 6.8 ballast resitor lying about, ive made one up but im not 100% happy with it.
thanks
again

Hi 2005Lyndon

I've been out to look at my 1988 3.5 flapper, and attach a pic of the wiring from my relay. The three wires from the bottom all go off in the loom which runs back towards the plenum chamber.

The top wire on my car is white (but looks like it may not be original) and connects to the coil terminal, which in turn is connected by white wire to the distributor. The wire from the other coil terminal to the dizzy is black and white.

Hope this helps

Pete
