Mite sound like a bit of a silly question but does anyone know how to remove the wiper arms on an E reg range rover?
 
In the copy of the '86-89 manual I have, it looks like they just prise off....

Yes, did it myself a few weeks ago on my 1988 RRC Vogue SE. They will most likely be tight on the shafts, so it helps if you have a couple of suitable sized wedges to knock in between the end of the arm and the nuts holding the rubber grommet in place.

Big thanks for the reply saint. Sorry about not introducing myself, I just got a bit carried away as my m.o.t is due tomorrow an my wipers are fallin off.
 
There's a small spring 'flat' that needs to be levered up (you'll see it just under the arm, where it hinges up) & it's a good idea to place something like a towel on the bonnet first, as if the arm comes off suddenly (which they often do) it will protect the paintwork.
 
Thanks alot guys. Don't suppose there is any way of changing to the later type wiper arms without replacing the entire motor an linkages?
