Does anyone know if there might be any particular reason/trend in insurance for my insurance company to more than double my renewal quote? I've 10 years no claims, 1 expired sp30 conviction and I just can't see why it should have suddenly leapt to over £1k in the last 12 months???

kin hell I pay between 600-700 for as many as I like and upto 7.5 ton- excludes cosworths

Hey fanatic, yeah i just don't get it, mine's usually £375ish (fully comp, protected no claims, P38 DT) suddenly with no reason given it's jumped to just over £1000! whilst quotes from other campanies are still in the £350-400 region.

31 max no claims traders policy 10,000 mine 20,000 customers £250 excess fully comp, modified £500 third party and includes vans or lorrys upto 7.5 ton

Hmmm. needless to say they won't be getting my business again. time to hit the phones and bash a few meerkats. lol. I've heard good things about Adrain Flux, any other suggestions?

just one vehicle or several?

**** me I had a p38 and paid £380 with £100 excess at 28

If you get stuck pm me I have a solution for you but no windscreen cover

Cheers fanatic, i'll see how i get on with getting a few quotes, and get back to you. Still clueless as their reasoning tho!

sounds like you have fallen out of their preferred postcode and demographic, If you get really stuck I reckon less than £700 and anything you like except cosworths and grey imports

Have you called the renewal company yet?

I have that every where with my bikes insurance, they send the renewal and its always more, i just call them and ask are you having a fokin laugh?

they drop it down every year...

some insurance companies do that in the of chance people wont go shopping somewhere else and just accept the new renewal price and thats it.

call them first if you havent...

Haven't on this occasion yet, but tried that last time and they wouldn't revise the quote, BUT I could sign up as a new customer and get the same price as previous year...go figure??

Insurance companies are all the same... great prices for the first year or two and then they push up your premium, hoping that it will simply be debited out of your account without you noticing.

Go to a different insurance company, get a quote and then ask your insurer to better it. They might say no bu hey... I pay £375 fully comp with 9 years no claims and driving of other vehicles included.

Have you tried Frank Pickles? Just went with them because they gave me easily the best quote and did not worry about mods.

I found Adrian Flux gave me the best quote.

I tried Direct Line on Line and got a comedy quote of £600 Fully Comp, it went up to £675 for 3rd PF&T. When I stopped Laughing (My V8 was half that last year) I called Arian Flux and they quoted £280 straight off.

Good luck with it.

I've been with Bell Direct for the past 10 years or so. They're always the cheapest for me.

They do try it on a bit at renewal time (but only a little bit) but they always agree to drop it again. Can't fault em.

I think I'm paying £300 fully comp for my 98 4.6 HSE.

Guy
