Hi all,
fitted the tu3 tuning module with mafam a couple of days ago,with great results except for the black smoke and what seems like turbo lag.Have tried settings 3,6 and 9 all with the same result, loads of power but alot of smoke.Has anyone got any thoughts on where to go from here.

Have you disconnected the EGR pipe

May also need a clean out of EGR

Other than that check air filter ok + i always add a injector clean every 3rd tank and use shell only

I have mine set at about 4 (only have maf bypass) with no visible smoke at all

Have cleaned out egr but not inlet manifold which is full of gunk.Still have vacuim pipe connected but will disconnect later and see if there is any change.
