i have been offered a rover 200 diesel car how easy is it to put this engine in a freelander the freelander has a blown k series in at mo any advise would be welcome

hi cideray

personnally i wouldn,t bother mate the extra work required to change yours to diesel wouldn,t be worth it .The rover diesel or L series were crap being under powered and noisey

probably get shot down for this but in my experiance the newer k series with all the mods i.e head gaskets, remote thermostat and strenghtened bottom end are more reliable this would be a better bet i think

good luck either way
good luck either

i agree

i looked into this a few years ago and wasn't worth it, from what i can remember the bell housing plate was diff, turbo diff, gear box, pedels, ecu,
other parts to
if you had damaged freelander diesel the go for it

on the plus side the looms are the same :D
