I was thinking of using 50x25 3mm box section. Holes cut to original then fixing new seats to top of box section.

On battery side was going to remove limiter so I can pull the handle and slide the front seat off.

Like the seats so much fellas I have just purchased some Rover 75 half leather front seats from eBay in great nick for under £50.

Come Friday afternoon I will follow your guides and attempt to fit.

Stag, how tall are you?

They look mint and new seats is on the list but I'm not sure I would be able to get in

5'10' but my son is 6' and with the drivers seat lifting up and down with a wind handle he says its perfect for him, and it is his motor. (I'm just a keen old boy)

I was surprised to see this old thread pop up! I ended up putting some Rover seats in last year, out of a 200 Turbo Coupe. But I made some brackets using plate and box section so that I could reuse the original mounting holes and not have to drill the seat box.

See the thread if interested: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/my-new-seats-189576.html

I lifted the back of the seats with box section so that they can slide back above the lip on the floor behind the seats. This gives great adjustment and more legroom than before. The added height compared with the old seats is also a big improvement, as well as the safety of having headrests if I have a crash. (Plus the side bolsters are great when you are being thrown around off-road :D)

Hi i got some mg zs seats off ebay for 99p fitted great.
