Hi
Iwas rubbuing the silla down on my Discovery to find the driver side one is rotten massive hole it just fell appart. :mad: If anyone has done a sill replacement I would very much appreciate some advice before I start.:confused:

The replacement sill is also part of the floor pan. When I replaced mine I cut off the floor part at the bend. much less work to do. You will have to remove spot welds carefully from rear wheel arch and door pillers. If you can weld I don't have to tell you that the cleaner you can make the areas to be welded the better. All in all not to bad a job just a bit long winded.

The inner part of the sill seems ok I was hoping I would only need the outer part. The hole has turned up at the bottom of the sill and has come away from the inner part. I will have to re check the whole thing. I've just welded a new floor panel in the boot and a new crossmember almost £300 in parts over the last couple of weeks and this sill was just a final blow.
