Don’t get mad at me! just what people have said, does make a difference if your on a pay and play site and winching people maybe a dozen times in the day

Maybe on a winch comp it may make a slight difference..........but if the winch is on freespool then pulling ti out is not a great hardship.

Cheers

Don't get don't get disillusioned, most tratter owners would love to have a rope as an accessory and not holding the exhaust together.

I used to use baling twine, but it kept melting, I tried barbed wire but it hurt my wee handies, So now I use a cable tie or two....

Cheers

Hi to all was after your thoughts as seen a few defenders with rope round front winch bumper what are your thoughts on the matter and a happy new year to you all

joking aside

is indeed always better to ensure the winch cable is secured , if u have rope on the front whilst doing 40-50 mph the thought is it coming loose doesnt bear thinking about

plus u know someone will just come along and nick the rope anyway

I had an old Hilux that had the steering drawbar held together with baker twine for a few days - reasonable amount of play in the steering
