Hi all,

I have one of the Land Rover expedition roof racks and am very keen to get a roof tent. I fear though due to my rack having sides I can't do this.

Am I right? does anyone have a suggestion of a roof tent that would fit. I saw one that looked like a clam shell once but since then can't find it again.

Get the tent you want and buy a new roof rack which fit your actual needs .. don't do it the other way around as you are suggesting ...

I like that roof rack though and it fits my needs in that area. I also have some Xeng lights wired to it and they look the nuts. No change happening there.

Will the Maggiolina fit in the space an expedition roof rack leaves?

The maggiolina in the for sale section is 50 inches wide by 80 length

Yeah. That link doesn't work. Mine is a land Rover Expedition rack and I am trying to work out if the rood tent will fit snugly inside the roof rack raised walls...

It will be very close in measurements. Climb up there and measure the damn thing

The Magg will take up all your roof rack !!
If it was me i would cut the top rail out at the back, prob solved

I have a Oasis roof tent which is lightweight so I can take it on and off the roof when I do or don't need it. It will mount sideways or long ways.
