I have aquired a roof rack with four spotlights on it to go on my 90...

I have sorted out all the wiring with relays etc but I am a bit stuck as to getting the wires from outside on the roof inside...

How do most people get the wiring from the roof inside?

Thanks.

I ran the cable up the A post and inside the roof linning drilled a hole and used a ruber gromet (to stop the cable chaffing) and resealed with a silicon sealer. it's the neatest method i've found.
But REMEMBER to ensure the whole is sealed you don't want any water coming in!!!

Sorry there's no easy method

with 4 bulbs you could run 2 cables into 1 which =2 cables to enter the cab. i ran mine tight to the roofbar then inbetween the seals of the door and then behind the plastic trim of the door pillar. my relays are behind the passenger speaker box. this way, the batt/fuse box and centre dash switch were in easy reach of everything.

its also very neat and tidy. be carefull if cutting headlining. its not cheap if you F$%^ it up.

Have a look for some 16mm flexy conduit, comes in black plastic and with the saddles to run it up the outside of yer window post( fixed with self tappers)
really looks good on the 90 or the disco for that matter
saves drillin holes in the roof

Funny thing I just 2 days ago put my 6 spot light
powder coated roof bar on I am leaving it to my
Landy man on Monday who is going to do the wiring
I think they will going through the roof .........
let you know on Monday night

Hi again

It cost me a arm and a leg but its all working fine
they used a black flexy conduit earthed each light
to the Bar and only have 2 wires going through the
roof and down the right pillar wire hidden under the
lining he says he fused it just behind the on/off switch
and also at the battery I think the power comes direct
from the battery I supplied a heavy duty on/off switch
from halfords the one with the red cover on it but had the
cover took off .................

I have only had them on for a few seconds when I tested
them but I think the wires are going to get a bit warm
if left on for a long period but hey they are only there Make the
landy look good not for working with well not yet
