I'm after a set of roof rails for my Freelander 2 with Panoramic sunroof and they appear to be about £100 more due to sunroof clearance, would a set of normal fit seeing as I've never driven with the sunroof open with a roof box fitted?

They will fit the roof mounts I believe. But if you or someone else ever opens the glass roof by accident the glass will hit the rails, with the possibility of damaging the mechanism, or worse smashing the glass, both of which would cost more to fix than the saving by using the non panoramic roof rails.

I wouldn't risk not fitting the correct rails.
Actually I'd only fit genuine rails. I've see fake or copied rails fall apart, damaging the roof in the process.
I've not got rails, but if I need to put a load on the roof, I use my Thule roof bars, with the appropriate foot and clamp kit. It's crude and ugly, but does what I need for the 5 minutes I might need to put something up there.

I got the lr genuine ones some years ago. Bars and rails cost about 500 sovs so not cheap. The lr genuine rails don't make so much wind noise when empty. Took some time to get used to the new look with them fitted.

I've got the genuine bars that fit however I've hit a snag, someone's tried to fit them before and the four bolts that hold them on at the rear are trashed, the plastic inserts have sheared off and I've knackered two trying to get them out.
Does anyone know the part number for them so I can order some?
