I'm going through some sort of mid life crisis and am accessorising my Freebifter. My latest want is the roof rail system for the 3 door. I've scoured everywhere and without paying the extortionate Land Rover price I'm drawing a blank. Anybody out there help? Anybody prepared to part with some?

have you checked around online with ebay and maybe some of the other range rover classifieds forums?

its for a freelander not a rangerover ;)

YOU CAN JOKE!! my secretary is still convinced that my Gaylander is a Range Rover -it goes without saying thatshe was employed purely on basis of looks not intelligence:D :D

Have struck gold and found a breakers in Manchester that have some. £150 for everything including the seals etc... Well pleased with that, spot on people also. Not been to collect yet but apparently it's Landy owners heaven with about 50 retired cars there. Might end up with a few other bits whilst I'm there...quite excited really, it's been years since I went rooting around a scrap yard!

Got the roof bars but disaster has struck when fitting them. There is a little piece of metal that you bolt into to fix the bars on the back. Needless to say when I removed them to put the roof rails on, the bit of metal dropped into the car and is somewhere at the bottom of the rear quarter panel! Nothing easy in Freebifter world is there!
Although to be fair I did get a leather steering wheel whilst I was there which took less than 10 minutes to fit.

STONE THE CROWS, some 2 hours after I nearly set light to the Freebifter in frustration I have finally sorted it. I consulted the workshop CD I have which although didn't give me the direct answer, put me onto the chain of thought about taking out the rear light cluster. Job done, managed to fish out the piece of metal and was also able to hold it into place whilst I bolted it in. Could have done with 3 hands but I guess humans haven't evolved that much since apes!!!!!

Anyway, they're on and look top bannana. As soon as I get her cleaned I will take some photo's to post on here, although nothing outstanding I'm proud of what I've done with my Freebifter.
