Hi Guys,
First thread as a freelander owner! Greetings!

I would like people's opinions on roof racks. What people have, what people like the look of and what has been heard of as being recommended. Something that I have looked at is the Outrack Roof Rack, but the only thing is that I have only found it being sold for $1,195! Quite pricey!

Roof racks are ok if you like that sort of thing. I had the bars that run front to back. They were only used for washing the car, step on the side steps, hold onto the bars and wash the roof ;)
$1195 seems very expensive to me. Is it made from precious metals and gems?
What do you need the roof rack to do? For instance luggage, bikes?
What sort of weight are you thinking of sticking up there. It's a pain to get up there you know!

I just chucked some Paddy hopkirk bars on (£50 Halfuds)
But then i only need to get ladders /steps on the top
 
Well I do have the bars, but I will be investing in an OzTent before long http://www.boab.biz

It sits in a 2.4m long case, so ideally I would like to secure it on the roof. I mean I could secure it to the bars, but that would risk causing damage by rubbing on the paintwork!

I will be putting things like airsoft gun cases, tents etc etc. misc stuff like that. No bikes!
A pain to get up there yes, but I really like the look of the G4 Challenge Freelander, so I may end up doing something like that, but a little less orange!!

Yes ! when i can find the time to get the photos down to the right size to post on here

Giz a clue it'll be quicker:)
 
Mondo, just do it mate. Windows will resize the photos. I beleive Microsoft Photo Editor will do it. I'm looking forward to seeing your efforts ;)

Hi mondo,

Try "IrfanView" to resize your photos.

Mondo, what's the problem with the photos?
1. You haven't taken them.
2. You can't resize them.

If you answer 1 then get on with it, time is a ticking sunshine.
If you answer 2 then email them to me and I'll resize them.

Andy P really needs our help and you're dressing as a lady boy. Are you wearing rubber wellies in that photo?
