Ok guys

I need a roof rack, Im fed up with dragging my trailer around with me for silly things that just wont go in the back of my 90.

SO just before i get some shut eye,

I dont want great big thing that has the aerodynamics of a whales arse! & That it covered in galve from something thats out of thunderbirds! (im a tart)

I would like 35mm tube or similar that take on the shape or the defenders roof but with side bars.

PS anybody making them! or can reproduce the picture! please PM & i shall past your palm with silver! Grassyass.

I bought a black powder coated rack and ladder from John Craddocks that only covers the rear (flat) part of my 90 roof. Quite small but still the same size as a small trailer.
I guess it depends what you want to carry but it's an option.

Thanks guys!

But the ebay one bit to clunky and box, i would like a moulded one to the contours of the roof in tube. i have a local firm that say £200 cash but they aint got back to me :-(

Let us know how you get one... I am looking for one with a ladder for my 110

If you are worried about aerodynamics then make sure you get one thats easy on/off as any roof rack will seriously affect mpg

At the risk of sounding stupid:eek::eek:, if you are bothered about aerodynamics what are you doing with a Defender:confused::confused:, not an egspurt but hardly the most aerodynamic of motors are they??
Sorry can't really help with the roofrack, but would like to know how you get on, I'm after one for mine ;);)

HAHA no im not worried about it after all im driving a brick on wheels as far as aerodynamics are concerned lol

I think he may be worried about the deterioration ?

Yes todays std's of galv is poor & a nice powder coated one would look great & be robust

ah grimmers beat me to it :D

what about getting a galvanised one (no doubt cheaper) and getting it painted? probably cheaper overall and would solve your tart like issues. or is square section not satisfying enough?

I'll be looking for one for the 110 at some point. If its still about at the time i'll give you a shout redhand.
