right im looking at lightbars currently as im gonna get some more lights like ive got on the front bumper (as previously added b4 i got it)
now ive noticed there are two types, the flattened bar bolted down and bent round to the roof line or the plate bolted down to gutter, to above roof level and welded onto the bar.....
my questions are, how far can you mount them back... 2. depending on how far you mount them forwards or back does it glare on the screen at night and impare vision??? whitch one is more practical... and do you use it for spots or mainbeam??
pics of individual setups would be appreciated and pros and cons youve found..... also where you got them from and roughly howmuch it cost inc p+p as id like to find the best deal (im getting the lights seperatly so just the bar would do) ((((also if anyones selling theirs lol)))))
cheers in advance

i have 4 mounted right at the front

because i have satin paintwork the glare isnt as bad, its still bright tho
IMO i wouldnt bother having the lights up there if youve got nice shinny paintwork, unless your bothered about fashion rather than function
that is unless you paint your bonnet matt black
oh and i think the bar was 69 quid from Craddocks in cannock, and the lights i already had but are about £30 a pair

Hi Have a word with iannotts he is on here he will make you a good un
here a pic of mine on a defender
cheers david

Cheers v8 been a farmer I appreciate roofline lights so there spot on on the tractor.. so it's choice more than fashion... Plus a bonnet pod is not my cup of tea.. Also I need a permenant place for my cb ariel as magmounts trash paint I have contacted iannotts on eBay. Prior to this post my main concern wasn't glare of bonnet but glare through the screen but if that's not a prob then I'll see bout sortin one out
