In an attempt to keep cooler this evening, I had a good car cleaning (washing) session.

Question. Any good ideas to do the roof. I don't want to use ladders!

a simple step?

Grow? :p I manage to do my roof by just lowering the suspension :D Ooo or you could get some platforms a la Slade

Ok now I've got that bit out of the way, here's the genuine suggestions : lower the suspension and park next to a kerb, or instead of a ladder use a 2 steps, or stand on the rear tyres, or open the door and stand on sill(just ensure sponge isn't too wet, so it doesn't drip on trim), or open tailgate and stand on it, again watch for drips. I think that's all I can come up with. Oh hang on just thought, if you don't mind using a brush rather than sponge, use a long handled brush but I wouldn't recommend that one personally.

am i missing something ere ! op asking how to wash his roof on his vehicle !!!!! theres no hope :D:D:eek:

Run it through a car wash. Sometimes more convenient than diggin out the hose, connecting it to the kitchen tap, water spraying everywhere, wife getting annoyed. Then it's " where did I put the shampoo, I know it's in the shed ?" Wife mysteriously finds it within seconds!! Then it's "where is the extension lead?" In the cupboard she replies, Not there I say checking the shed again. Wife says minutes later " is this what your looking for (extension lead in hand). Yes I say, where was it? In the effing cupboard you said it was not. This was not a time to ask her if she could put the kettle on for a cuppa before I was the car...:D

range rovers and car washes dont go together too well !

and they never do a good job !

Buy an evoque. I think they were designed with a squashed roof for people that worry about washing Range Rovers.

thanks guys.

Yes I am a bit of a short ass. Don't think of standing on the tyres... think that will do.

glad you had fun with this one.

I'm off to wash the roof...
:)

:) Glad the forum could assist you Don.

To pre-empt your next question... The easiest way to fill the tank is to undo the petrol cap first. Happy to help. ;) :D

:lalala: :D. Don, when i'm in the mood to wash the Rangie myself, I use small step ladders. Did this the other day and noticed lots of crap under the covers where a roof rack would fit into.
