hd3 posted a link to the fitting guide 2 posts down from your origional question?..saved me scanning mine.
For some strange reason I must have missed that one...thanks again, will take it all apart when I get back from France next week.

Strange if you have managed to fit anything through wrong way. The connectors are shaped, and just looking at them shows which way they go.
Has the little grey dial dropped off, and been put back on the wrong setting?
Personally, I'd take it off, clean all the contacts, double check all connectors, stick it all back together and try again.
Lastly, did you have the switches right? Up is on, down is off (if up, switch is pointing to the side with the settings printed on it)

Skinny Mike, Rons web site.....http://synergytuning.co.uk/Synergy/Synergy.htm says that the toggle switches are down (picture on right) when on, away from the setting printed side, so are you sure ?
also don't have a grey dial, must be lost so I just look in the hole and move it with a screwdriver. Ron says that if I send it to him he will add a jack hole for a dash switch and upgrade the firmware to the latest one
and change the maf lead to the latest OEM (one way fit only)...for a fee of course lol.

That's the first port of call then. Result! ;)

Sounds like you've got the earlier version. There are three different ones, all called a 2a. Gets a bit confusing sometimes, mines the middle one, got the jack switch, dont use it though.
If he's offering to upgrade it, send it in. Might as well have all the latest bells and whistles.
Mike.

its an older version..
just had another go at it, the maf plug was the wrong way round, checked it all the took it for a spin, with maf off and power switch on...pushing hard, the engine light came on...bugger.
going to send it to Ron to check over. we will see.

The Synergy will show up weaknesses in the system (engine) , plug it in to a reader, it should show you which bits on its way out.
