I'm going to put a roll cage on my 90 hardback, looking at either fully welded ie. Whitbread or bolted together ie P & P. I can see advantages and disadvantages either way but thought as people on here may have either cage I'd ask some other views.
At the moment I'm here:
Welded - Advantages - looks good, presumably stronger.
Disadvantages - more difficult to fit due to one piece, not sure on the way the whitbread one passes through the wings, looks like you would have to remove the cage to get a wing off.
Bolted - Advantages - Easier fitment, splits at front wing mounting point, so no having to take it all off.
Disadvantages - prefer the welded look ie. no bolts everywhere.
If youve got either fitted, what are your views.
