....just thought I'd give a heads-up of a recent experience

Strong smell of Diesel led me to find it streaming out of the spill fuel return pipes (the ones that link the injectors) verdict they'ed all been chewed through by rodents. No wonder she was becoming difficult to start.

Short term solution was to use the small bore vacuum pipe which is part of cruise control...job done, back on the road to complete the journey and ordered the proper stuff. Sunday night before a new week started popped out to check all's well and :wtf: they'd done it again so this time I set 4 traps and caught 3 mice by the morning

Now ordered 8mm braided stainless steel oversleeve to stop the barstewards.......but now denied of their favourite diet what else will they eat? :(

You have Pikey mice. They're syphoning your diesel and they'll be stripping your loom for metal next.

chewed through spill pipes are a common call out for me in my patch.

9 times out of 10 I can chuck some new pipe on but I get the occasional fuel pipe with a special end on it that I don't have on board. I can usually get them patched up with amalgamation tape to get em going.
