Finally getting my doors built up this week. Sp Landrovers were supplying the rest of the kit and a few bits were missing so was waiting to get them sorted (William at SP is a very helpful fella).

Sods law though. Literally few days after getting them x2 pair of Military door tops came up for sale locally...NOTHING like this ever comes up for sale around me!!!

Anyway...I have what I consider an X-friend who recently screwed me over on a Land Rover purchase (loooong, very sneaky story). I knew he had been looking for Military tops for months so I immediately raced over and bought these out of pure spite. Hes now pestering me to sell him a set but there aint a chance in hell!

I have to say - I like them best of the lot. I love the locking mech design and the slanted panels look very good on the defender. I can see why they are sought after.

But the Rocky Mountains are really really really nice and since they are all assembled and ready to go so I'm sticking with them for mine as time is of the essence now (MOT looming). Will post up some pics as soon as is done.

I quite like the RM door tops but can never understand why they don't do door bottoms or am i missing something :)

True enough...its odd.

Although the splandrovers door bottoms seem good quality. Primer finish is a bit sloppy but the doors seem well enough built and at about £100 for both door bottoms they are good value!

yet again didnt get a chance to get photos as too busy painting up my hinges!

Make sure you drill out the channels on the sp door bottoms. It will make it possible to squirt dinitrol inside them.

Are right nice one mite be the way to go then when doing the chassis swap :D

Simply can't get pics on for some reason but have to say again...these rocky mountain door tops are absolutely brilliant. Turning out to be best 300 quid I have spent. I don't consider them a luxury now...they are as essential as having 4 wheels!
