Hi Guys, Could do with a little advice please. I have just changed the injector seals on my TD5 and now got to the rocker adjustment and am stuck. How do you know when the injector plunger has bottemed out? What does it feel like?

Any help gratefully recieved:confused:

you need each cam lobe at its highest point for each cylinder, then wind the adjusting screw down, you will feel it bottom out, it wont go any further unless you really twist hard, which you dont want to do, once bottomed out turn screw back one complete turn 360 degrees, then lock with locking nut, repeat for the other 4 injectors, turning crank pulley with a bar and socket to revolve cam lobes to highest points

thanks guys. got it sorted. But new seals hasn't solved my problem. Pump still sounds like a stangled cat. Thought I would replace the seals before investing in a new pump.

its worth checking filter screen in the bottom of pump before you buy new ,ive had a few bunged up with a black gunge
